What’s the difference between a licence and a seat?
Most companies have one Revu licence and as many seats as there are users. A licence gives your company the ability to register and install Revu on multiple devices. Each device uses a seat of Revu. We generally recommend adding seats to existing licenses instead of buying additional licences so it’s easier to manage.
I’m looking for a way to manage my licences. What’s the best licensing option for me?
Both our Enterprise Licensing and Open Licensing options give you access to our admin portal, the Bluebeam Gateway. If you’re specifically interested in managing computer turnover and revoking licences, we recommend our Enterprise Licence Package. If you’d also like to view usage history, we recommend an Open Licence, our concurrent licensing option. You can learn more about the Bluebeam Gateway here.
Can I add seats to my existing licence?
Yes! Additional seats must share the same serial number, product key, Revu edition and Maintenance term (if applicable).
I’m interested in a concurrent licence. What do you recommend?
For flexible concurrent usage, we recommend our Open Licensing option, which gives your team access to Revu eXtreme from a shared pool of seats.
Do any of the Revu licence types run on Mac?
Unfortunately, no. All editions of Revu run on Windows, regardless of licence type.
How are Perpetual Licences registered?
When you purchase a Perpetual Licence, you’ll receive an email with a serial number and product key that you’ll use to register seats of Revu to individual devices.
Which licence will work on my virtual machine?
We recommend our Open Licensing option. Revu is certified Citrix® Ready® but can work in other terminal server environments as well. To learn more, explore our guide to using Revu in a Citrix environment.
