Bluebeam PDF Revu integrates with The Blue Book's BB-Bid Online Plan Room
Bluebeam's PDF viewing, markup and takeoff tools are now integrated into The Blue Book's BB-Bid Private Online Plan Room. BB-Bid,
available at www.thebluebook.com, is used by thousands of general contractors,
sub-contractors and vendors in the US to post and respond to project bids. Accessibility to Bluebeam will help facilitate the bidding
process for several commercial construction projects.
Thousands of general contractors post bids in the BB-Bid Private Online Plan Room every week. Bid information includes plans, specs,
building codes and other design information in PDF format. Subcontractors and vendors can access these PDFs any time via the web and use
Bluebeam to add comments and calculate takeoffs. All PDF markups made with Bluebeam can be saved and sent with any RFI.
PDF viewing tools available to BB-Bid users include the option to select and open multiple PDFs at one time and view multiple documents
side by side. Markup options allow users to add text, shapes and symbols and customize the markup color, line style, width, opacity and more.
Bluebeam's takeoff tools allow users to calculate length, perimeter, diameter, area and angle measurements in Imperial or Metric units.
"Bluebeam has been focused on developing useful PDF solutions that improve the way our customers work," said Richard Lee, president and
CEO of Bluebeam Software, Inc. "We are excited to work with The Blue Book to bring effective technology to its community of general
contractors, subcontractors and suppliers and further promote the value of an electronic workflow that is standardized in PDF."
