Bluebeam PDF Revu 6.0 introduces WebTab™, an innovative new feature that integrates web browsing with PDF editing.
WebTab™ was aptly named and created to allow access to the web as an integrated web browser. Web pages and PDF documents are displayed as Tabs within Revu for side by side viewing. Practically speaking, you can search for online information to add to your PDF, while still in Revu.
There are a couple of ways to open a WebTab in Revu. From the View menu, select New WebTab or right-click in the grey area next to a tab and select New WebTab.
You may be wondering how you can effectively use WebTabs. Here is an example of how we like to use them. Let’s say you have a PDF document but you need to add additional information, like an image or PDF catalog page, to further illustrate your point. After opening a WebTab™ you will find Bloogle, Bluebeam’s online search engine powered by Google®. Search and find the information you need and click on a link to open it side by side in Revu. Copy and paste the information directly into your PDF document or save the information to your hard drive and insert it into your PDF. You can also create a PDF of the webpage by printing to the Bluebeam PDF printer. Now you can assemble the PDFs and markup pages to call attention to the details, all within Revu.
If you have a few websites you frequently visit to gather online information, add them to your Favorites for future use. Want to add a Home page, or even a couple? You can do that too!
