Ask the Expert

Can I measure volume within Revu?

Not only will Revu calculate volume measurements, it is also easier to do with some very cool features added to the Measurement Tool in 6.0.

In addition to doing takeoffs within Revu for length, area, perimeter, diameter and angle, you can now use Revu for volume takeoffs.
  1. First, select the volume tool at the top of the measurement panel.
  2. Next, enter the depth for the volume calculation and begin measuring on the PDF drawing.
Bluebeam PDF Revu will automatically calculate the volume for each of the areas you’ve measured. The volume measurement total will appear in the panel and will also be added as a line to the markups list.

We’ve made it even easier for you to take accurate measurements with new snapping options. Snap Orthogonal, automatically snaps your line in 45 degree increments when measuring on the PDF. Snap to Content will cause the cursor to automatically snap to the lines in the PDF drawing. For even more accuracy, you can hold down the Shift key while you drag out your measurement to keep the line straight.
