WATG
Challenge
Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo (WATG), the world’s number one design firm specializing in hospitality, leisure, entertainment and timeshare needed a
PDF solution that met the following criteria:
- It needed to create more accurate PDF drawings than the company’s current PDF solution, Adobe Acrobat. WATG's designers were
frustrated because they often had to adjust conversion settings to create an accurate PDF file.
- It needed to be flexible so that all members of the design organization could use the software.
- It needed to be easy enough to use. WATG wanted a PDF solution that improved, not disrupted, communication with its customers.

Solution
Jim Grady, the CAD Manager at WATG downloaded a trial version of Bluebeam Pushbutton PDF. As a plug-in to AutoCAD, the major CAD application
used by WATG employees, Bluebeam accurately converted a sample set of WATG’s CAD drawings to accurate PDF files without the need to adjust
conversion settings. Bluebeam Pushbutton PDF’s compatibility with all CAD and Windows applications made Bluebeam a suitable firm-wide
digital paper solution.
According to Grady, "Pushbutton PDF provides us with an easy solution. We were using Acrobat Distiller, but Pushbutton PDF works better with
large format drawings and produces a better PDF." Pushbutton PDF facilitated WATG's workflow process with clients. "Our clients prefer to
review a PDF instead of a CAD drawing. Sending CAD drawings requires the client to have the appropriate software and knowledge of CAD to
review the drawing," said Grady. "Pushbutton PDF allows us to easily create the PDFs our clients want. In fact, we do all of our client
presentations in PDF now."
