Bluebeam® Now Supports Line Merge for PDF Files Created from AutoCAD Drawings

Pasadena, California (May 3, 2004)

Bluebeam Software, a developer of paperless workflow and printing solutions for architecture and engineering firms, announced today that its top selling product, Bluebeam Pushbutton PDF™, now supports line merge for PDF files created from AutoCAD®, the most widely-used design software in the world. The ability to view merged lines in PDF files is critical because it allows designers to clearly see all the intersecting lines from their AutoCAD drawings. Colored overlapping lines, shaded areas of a drawing, and text above or below shaded areas are now visible in the PDF file. Users also have the ability to adjust settings for line merge, giving them complete control and flexibility in determining the output of the merged line data.

"Launching the line merge feature is just another example of how Bluebeam listens to its core market of AEC customers. Not only do we offer line merge, we provide our users 12 different line merge options. This is just one more feature that differentiates Bluebeam’s solution from other PDF products like Adobe Acrobat," says Richard Lee, the President and CEO of Bluebeam Software.
