Bluebeam Revu

 

Operating Systems

Windows XP SP3 (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows XP Tablet Edition, Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit), and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit).

 

As part of the installation, the Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5 SP2 will be installed if it does not already exist on the workstation. Further information about the .NET framework may be found here.

Plug-ins

 

MS Office

Microsoft Office XP, 2003, 2007, 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Previous versions of Office are supported through the Bluebeam PDF printer.

AutoCAD

AutoCAD 2004 - 2013 (Also compatible with Autodesk products built on AutoCAD platform including Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, ADT, MDT, LDT, etc.), AutoCAD 64-bit 2008 - 2013

* Bluebeam only supports AutoCAD running on Windows versions supported by Autodesk.

** AutoCAD 2008 and 2007 SP2 require Windows Vista or above as defined by Autodesk. Previous versions of AutoCAD are not supported on Windows Vista.

*** AutoCAD 2010 requires Windows 7 or above as defined by Autodesk.

 

AutoCAD LT

AutoCAD LT 2004 - 2013

AutoCAD LT is supported by the Bluebeam PDF printer. A two button toolbar is added to AutoCAD LT which uses the Bluebeam PDF printer to create PDF files.

The Bluebeam PDF printer works with all CAD and Windows applications installed on your PC; i.e., AutoCAD LT, older versions of Revit, Autodesk Inventor, MicroStation, Pro/Engineer, Unigraphics.

 

64-bit Compatibility

The 64-bit version of Bluebeam Revu CAD and eXtreme are compatible with Windows XP x64, Vista x64, and Windows 7 x64, and integrates with AutoCAD 64-bit 2008 - 2013, SolidWorks 64-bit 2006 - 2012, Revit 64-bit 2010 - 2013, Navisworks Manage 64-bit 2011 - 2013, and Navisworks Simulate 64-bit 2011 - 2013 only. The 64-bit version of Bluebeam Revu 10 also installs the 32-bit plug-ins for AutoCAD 2004 - 2012 and MS Office XP, 2003, 2007 and 2010.

PDF/A Support

Bluebeam Revu supports creating files that are PDF/A-1b compliant according to ISO standards.

Hard Disk: Up to 500 MB of available space may be required

 

Processor: 1GHz Pentium processor or equivalent (recommended, see discussion below)

 

Using Revu for working with typical Office documents:

When using Revu for general office applications, a standard, general class computer may be used. A system qualified to run Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 would be a typical recommended configuration. For systems running Windows XP, a minimum of 1 GB of RAM or more is generally recommended. For systems using 32-bit Windows 7 or Vista, a bare minimum of 2GB is recommended. For running 64-bit Windows 7 or Vista, a minimum of 4GB is recommended.

 

Using Revu for working with large sets of engineering documents:

When working with large drawing sets (for example, construction project bid sets) in which the PDFs may contain many hundreds of large format drawings, it is recommended that workstations have adequate memory and processor resources. A recommended hardware configuration would be an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz or better processor and 4 GB RAM. Revu can run on systems with lower specifications, however a workstation with these settings will provide the optimal performance.
