Challenge

StairMaster®, part of The Nautilus Group, a leading marketer, developer, and manufacturer of branded health and fitness products, contacted Bluebeam about two challenges it needed to overcome:

• The company needed a PDF solution that worked with the three different CAD platforms that its many designers use internally: SolidWorks®, AutoCAD and ProEngineer®.
• The company needed to respond to a complaint by one of its vendors that StairMaster's PDF drawings (created by the leading competitor) were too jagged and distorted-rendering them useless for decision making

 

Solution

StairMaster's engineers downloaded an evaluation of Bluebeam Revu CAD and conducted a side-by-side comparison of the PDF drawings created by Bluebeam and the leading competitor's software and the results were telling. Not only did Bluebeam work perfectly with all three CAD platforms, it also created PDF drawings that were sharp enough at 1200% magnification to see every nut and bolt in a model. Using Bluebeam Revu, StairMaster has provided a flexible PDF solution for its designers and improved collaboration with vendors.
